Care for your gear.

Label-first guidance for cleaning, inspecting, and storing your workwear and accessories.

01

Start with the label.

Check the care label and instructions supplied with your exact item. They determine washing, drying, cleaning, and storage. Instructions vary by material and construction; there is no single wash setting for every Næxon product.

02

Workwear & fabric accessories.

For shirts, caps, crew shirts, and bandanas, use only the washing and drying methods permitted by the label. Close fasteners before washing and check for damage when the item is clean and dry. For FR garments, avoid bleach, peroxide-based laundry products, fabric softener, and starch unless expressly permitted by the manufacturer.

03

Leather gloves, sleeves & arm guards.

Check the product instructions before wet cleaning, machine washing, or applying a leather treatment. Do not assume a leather accessory can be laundered like a shirt. Inspect stitching, seams, closures, and worn areas before use. Ask us about the exact item if its instructions are missing.

04

Safety glasses & welding lenses.

Use the cleaning method specified for the lens and coating. Keep lenses protected from scratches and check the frame, housing, and lens for damage. Follow the supplied instructions for auto-darkening functions, power, and maintenance. Stop using an item if damage or unreliable operation could affect protection.

05

Tools & metal accessories.

Remove debris using the product’s specified method, dry before storing, and inspect for damage. Keep measuring surfaces and moving components clean. Check a tool’s accuracy and condition before relying on it. For bracelets, follow the finish-specific instructions and avoid cleaning chemicals unless approved.

06

Check before your next shift.

Inspect protective items for tears, worn areas, missing closures, and contamination. If damage or contamination could affect protection, remove the item from service and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and your employer’s procedure. A wash or home repair does not establish that its protective performance has been restored.

07

Store clean. Store dry.

Follow the item’s storage instructions. Keep clean gear dry and protected from conditions that may damage it. Separate contaminated items from clean clothing and do not return them to use until the required cleaning or replacement steps are complete.
